Telugu star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s most expensive outing to date, “Bimbisara” is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. It has created quite a buzz ahead of the release through the posters, teaser, and trailer.

There is anticipation among the Telugu movie audience for the film, as the main lead Ram is arriving on the big screens almost two and half years later. And the high budget with the involvement of time travel also helps stirred the anticipation.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will essay the role of King Bimbisara and his current era avatar in the movie, it also has Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon (Kaduva fame), and the Loveyaatri actress Warina Hussain.

Pre-Release Business

The worldwide pre-release business of the film is valued at Rs 15.60 Cr, hence it needs to raise around Rs 16.20 Cr shares at the ticket counters worldwide to emerge as a hit venture. The Break Even point for Telugu speaking states will be around Rs 14 Cr.

Screen Counts and Budget

The film will be released in Telugu language only unlike Sita Ramam which is a pan India release, as per the T2BLive, it will be released over 975+screens worldwide and screened in around 685 theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. As per media reports, the cost of production of the film is around Rs 40 crores.

It looks like that makers are sure shot of the film’s success at the box office as they have previously intended to expand the film as a franchise. As per the reports, they are planning to turn the film into a 4 part franchise.

However, it will not be a tough task for the film to cross the break even point as Rs 14 Cr seems an easy BE. We wish that the film emerges as a success and breaks the TFI (Telugu film Industry) box office drought. As per the early estimation, it will collect around Rs 10-12 Cr gross at the box office worldwide on its first day at the box office.
