Baaghi 3 1st day box office collection update: Tiger Shroff’s film is off to a good start, recorded 35%occupancy in the morning shows on day 1.

Baaghi 3 is one of the most awaited films of the year. The film was expected to take a huge opening but early reports suggest that it is off to a strictly decent start. As per the reports coming, the film recorded around 35% occupancy in the morning shows on day 1. This is a decent start for a film released on 4400 screens. The expectations were large as the trade was hoping for a 50% opening.

In terms of occupancy, it is the best opening of 2020 beating biggies like Street Dancer 3D and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. However, a better opening was expected as the film created very good pre-release hype. The opening has been affected by various national issues like Corona virus outbreak and Yes Bank crisis.

As expected mass centres opened to better numbers compared to metros and multiplexes. The film is performing well in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. In Mumbai and South, it is off to an average opening.

The early reviews are negative and people are trolling the film on social media. It would be interesting to see, how the film performs in the evening and night shows in the weekend. Despite Coronavirus, pre holi, exams,  Baaghi 3 collected around Rs 18 crore on day 1. The growth in the second half is crucial as it will decide the final numbers.

If word of mouth and reviews come into play then we would witness a drop tomorrow. Overall, the things haven’t turned out as the makers would have hoped for. The opening is below par, the reviews are negative and the word of mouth is not helping it either. The third instalment of Baaghi is the weakest film of the franchise.
