Bala is unstoppable as it approaches swiftly towards the 100-crore club. Ayushmann Khurrana has successfully brought home yet another winner with ‘Bala’.
Amar Kaushik film starring Yami Gautam, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar has finally managed to mint Rs 18.25 crores in its second weekend of release. With Rs 69.25 crores collected in the first week of its release, ‘Bala’ finally closes at Rs 87.50 crores by the end of 10th Day.
Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ took a great opening with 3000 screens all over India. Ayushmann’s biggest release till date raked in Rs 10.15 crores of Friday, 8 November which went on to collect Rs 15.73 crores on Saturday, Rs 18.07 crores on Sunday. After a smashing opening weekend, the social comedy became the fastest Ayushmann Khurrana film to touch the 50 crore mark on Tuesday.
However, ‘Bala’ added a total of Rs 69.25 crores by the end of Week 1. The week 2 collections were recorded as Rs 3.76 crores on Friday, Rs. 6.73 crore on Saturday and Rs.8.01 crore was added on Sunday. ‘Bala’ minted a decent Rs 2.25 crores on second Monday of its release. It is will most expectedly collect another Rs 2.00 crore on Tuesday. The film is slowly heading towards 100 crore mark but collections are only trickling in, no major jumps or slumps were recorded so far.
The National Award-winning actor, Ayushmann Khurrana has scored yet another 100 crore club movie after his last release ‘Dream Girl’. While ‘Dream Girl’ faired well at the Box Office with 100-crores minted in 10 days of its release, ‘Bala’ seems to have slowed down in the second week of its run.
‘Bala’ is Ayushmann’s third 100-crore grosser, Yami’s 3rd but Bhumi’s first entrant in the 100-crore club. In an interview with Press Trust of India, Ayushmann said that ‘Bala’ is his ‘most precious’ film till date. The actor shared the happy news of entering the 100-crore club on his Instagram too.
