Bala 9th Day Box Office Collection: Superb collections in the second weekend

After a grand first week at the Box Office, Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Bala’ has recorded steady growth in the second week too. On Saturday, ‘Bala’ managed to jump very well.

The figures are far more impressive than the Box Office collections of Ayushmann’s last release ‘Dream Girl’. Ayushmann Khurrana has once again managed to impress the audience with his stellar performance and unconventional film choices.

The success of the film can be credited to the brand value that Ayushmann Khurrana brings to the table. Besides, word-of-mouth also seemed to have work in favour of the film.

‘Bala’ has already crossed the big 100-crore mark in International markets. ‘Bala’ Box Office collections so far are 10.15 crores (Friday), 15.73 crores (Sat), 18.07 crores (Sun), 8.26 crores (Mon), 9.52 crores (Tues), 5.2 crores (Wed), 5.31 crores (Thurs) and 3.76 crores (Friday, (6.73 Cr0re) Saturday. Now the total is 82.73 Crore in 9 days.

‘Bala’ collections dropped staggeringly on Monday, but later picked up on Thursday due to National holiday on the occasion of 550th Guru Nanak Dev Ji Prakash Parv. The Box Office collections look steady and promising despite the release of ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ and ‘Marjaawaan’.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala also stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar in pivotal roles. Set up in the small town of Kanpur, ‘Bala’ revolves around the life of a premature balding guy who struggles to find a suitable matrimonial match due to his unacceptable appearance according to society’s set standards of beauty.

The story also pivots towards Bhumi Pednekar, a well-educated professional lawyer who finds it hard to get married because of her dark skin color. She, on the contrary, is quite confident and unapologetic about her largely-mocked-at skin colour. The ‘Vicky Donor’ actress Yami Gautam plays the character of a modern-day social media star whose life is limited to social media likes and views. Her life funda is ‘Looks me no compromise’.
