After a strong weekend, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Desi comedy drama is unstoppable on working day, passed its Monday test. Films like Badhai Ho and Dream Girl, Bala is also looking super hit and third 100 Crore of his career.

Owing to good word of mouth, the Box Office collections took a big jump to Rs 15.73 crores on Day 2 and Sunday collections picked up even further. The Maddock Production’s film recorded a staggering Rs 18.09 crores on Sunday. A mid range film collected around 45 crore in just 3 days, which is a fairly good number for a film budgeted at Rs 25 crore.

The film holds strong on Monday (4th Day) and the business is 8.26 Crore. ‘Bala’ is expected to grow fairly during the week since there are no big releases scheduled for the coming weekend. Besides, the entertaining plotline,  stellar star cast and excellent direction have added more reasons to watch the film in theaters.

The film is already raking in good critics reviews and audience reaction which is expected to enhance the Box Office collection in the coming days. Also, ‘Bala’ has already been tagged as actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s biggest opener till date. His last release ‘Dream Girl’ was a super successful venture but the opening day collections only stood at Rs 10.05 crores.

The ‘Vicky Donor’ star is riding high on the success of his last three films. Ayushmann has already carved out a distinguished space for himself in Bollywood as the ‘superstar of contemporary cinema’. His oddball choice of films, natural acting skills and the boy-next-door look have perched him as a bankable star of Hindi cinema.

Helmed by Dinesh Vijain, ‘Bala’  is a comedy film based on the life of a typical Kanpur marketing agent who owes his miserable life to ‘premature balding’. The star cast includes talented actresses like Yami Gautam, who has already worked with Ayushmann in 2015 super hit ‘Vicky Donor’ and Bhumi Pednekar, who has also romanced Ayushmann in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ by Dharma Productions.

Javed Jaffrey, Manoj Pahwa, Saurabh Shukla and Seema Pahwa are among other actors seen in the Amar Kaushik’s film.
