It’s official! Gully Boy fame Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mumbai damsel Sharvari have been cast as Bunty and Babli in the upcoming sequel ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’.
Yash Raj Films took to Twitter to announce the leading pair for their exciting new film ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’. The makers had announced the sequel of the 2005 super hit con-film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ earlier this year. The production house announced ‘Gully Boy’ fame Siddhant Chaturvedi a.k.a. MC Sher as the lead star of the film.
Starring opposite him is Mumbai-based gorgeous girl Sharvari. The debutante was discovered by YRF’s casting members earlier this year. She has been under-going rigorous grooming since then.

The ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ will be directed by Varun Sharma and produced under YRF banner headed by Aditya Chopra. Varun Sharma has also worked as the Assistant Director on YRF’s biggest blockbuster films like ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ will be a joyride like the first edition where con-couple Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan had left us in splits. The original film had been written and produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Shaad Ali.
Talented duo Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan had set an indelible impression with their first outing as Rakesh and Saluja Trivedi in ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ in 2005. Their performances were widely praised by the critics and audiences both. The iconic song ‘Kajra Re’ from ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ featuring the very sexy Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Talking about the film, the makers said that Siddhant is a very talented actor who proved his acting prowess in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. They said he is extremely charming and fits the role perfectly. Sharvari is an extremely special actress to watch out for. She is a powerful performer and you have to watch her on-screen to understand what we mean. They are a fresh, hot pair and their chemistry and energy are infectious. They fit the bill perfectly.
