Chhapaak Box Office Collection Day 2: Check 2nd Day Collection Updates Here

Chhapaak Box Office Collection Day 2: Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak shows limited growth in the collections on Saturday (2nd day).

Despite appreciation coming in from all quarters, Deepika Padukone‘s Chhapaak isn’t performing as per expectations. After an average opening day, the film is seeing a limited growth on Saturday (2nd day) which is a worrying sign for the filmmakers. The film collected 6.90 Crore on Saturday.

Released on 1700 screens, Chhapaak has an ordinary first day at the box office. It collected just Rs 4.77 crore on Friday. Though the opening was average, one was expecting good growth in the business today. But, the film saw limited growth until the evening shows. Now, the fans would be hoping for huge growth in the evening and night shows.

Chhapaak is a multiplex film. So, we can expect the business to grow in the second half of the day. However, the problem here is that the other release Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is simply unstoppable at the box office. It is giving a tough fight to Chhapaak even in high-end multiplexes of Delhi, NCR, Kolkata and Bengaluru.

With good growth in the night shows, Chhapaak should cross Rs 6 crore on the second day. The number may go a bit higher or lower, depending on the occupancy. The total collection after two days would be around Rs 11 crore. Well, this is not an ideal start and the trade was expecting the film to earn around Rs 25 crore in the opening weekend.

Chhapaak Budget And Box Office Economics

The estimated budget of Chhapaak including the promotion and advertising costs is Rs 50 crore.

Production cost: Rs 35 crore

Prints & advertising cost: Rs 15 crore

Chhapaak will be considered a hit if it crosses Rs 60 crore and will be considered average if it crosses Rs 45 crore. It would be interesting to see if the film can achieve these numbers.
