Commando 3 Trailer: Vidyut Jammwal is on a mission to weed out the nation’s biggest enemy

The trailer for Vidyut Jammwal’s ‘Commando 3’ dropped today on Reliance Entertainment YouTube Channel. The 2:57 seconds trailer is loaded with physics-defying action sequences between Vidyut Jammwal and Gulshan Devaiah and his goons.

The film stars Vidyut as an Indian soldier on a secret mission to go after India’ biggest enemy Buraq. He travels all the way to London with two other sexy agents played Adah Sharma and debutant Angira Dhar.

The trailer begins with Gulshan’s threatening but amusing dialogue saying ‘Hindustan Khoon Ke Aansu Royega’. Gulshan the leading antagonist mastermind plans a big massacre for India where he plans to bomb various locations in India. The government senses his mischievous plans and sends their heroic Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra to curb his plans. Amidst the Hindu-Muslim tension, the story revolves around the geeky Gulshan trying to bring ferocious Commando Karan down.

While the trailer isn’t a deal-breaker, there are too many flaws to miss. To begin with, the leading ladies are great agents but what is it with tight pants and plunging necklines. But what is the need to sex things up in a nationalist film? While Adah Sharma has been a constant in ‘Commando’ series, the Angira Dhar enters the film as Bhavna Reddy who accompanies Karan to Bangkok for the mission. Secondly, the trailer captures your visual attention but the mismatched lip-syncing cannot be ignored. Lastly, the array of cheesy dialogues thrown at us is jarring. Yes, the phrases like ‘Jazbaati nahi Bharatvadi’ and ‘is mudde ko jadd se ukhaad sakta hai Karan Singh Dogra’ are cringe-worthy to an extent that they make you clench your teeth in disgust.

The ‘Commando 3: He is Back’ trailer is mostly a let down for action fans who wanted to see Vidyut make use of all that muscle on his body. Unfortunately, the film comes across as a ‘word war’ more than a ‘civil war’. Helmed by Aditya Dutt and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah is slated to hit the theatres on 29 November 2019. The film will be presented by Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital in association with Sun Shine Pictures and Vipul Amrutlal Shah Production.
