As per the reports coming, Dabangg 3 witnessed a huge drop in the occupancy on its third Friday. With three new releases this week, there is a reduction in the numbers of screens. The film is yet to cross Rs 150 crore mark.
According to a report in boxofficeindia, Dabangg 3 is the second-worst Salman Khan film of the decade. The report states that Dabangg 3 is the second-worst Salman Khan film in terms of footfalls. The worst being his 2010 release Veer. Even Race 3, Jai Ho and Tubelight saw more footfall than Dabangg 3.
Dabangg 3 will cross Rs 150 crore mark by the end of the third weekend. But, its lifetime collection will be less than Dabangg 2 (Rs 155 crore) which was released in 2012. Dabangg 3 is the third film of the Dabangg franchise. The first film of the franchise released on Eid 2010 was a blockbuster with the lifetime collection of Rs 138.88 crore. Dabangg 3 is the worst-performing film of the franchise.
The total budget of the film is around Rs 125 crore. It has recovered more than Rs 100 crore through satellite and digital rights. Coming to its box office economics, it will be considered a hit if it crosses Rs 150 crore.
