Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s romance has clicked amongst the
US audience. The Tollywood film has become the 3rd highest opener of 2019 beating
gross premier collection of F2, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Majili.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama, Dear Comrade, has finally hit screens in the USA and India.
The film, directed by Bharat Kamma and is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers released on Friday to a massive Box-Office collection of USD 259.443K approx over 172 locations until 7 PM in the US. The film has already become the 3rd highest gross opener of 2019 in the United States.
It is safe to say that the makers have created an impeccable piece of cinema that has managed to
impress the audience on the very first day. The film has so far beaten the premiere grosses of movies such as F2, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Majili.
It is already at par with collections of Maharshi ($516K) and NTR Kathanayakudu ($483K) among this year’s top premiere grossers in the US.
Owing to a big opening, it will be interesting to see how much money does the film actually mint throughout its lifetime. ‘Dear Comrade’ is Vijay second highest-grossing film after ‘Geetha Govindam’.

Talking about plans of joining Bollywood, Vijay said it would be interesting to do a Bllywood+Telugu film here he can explore both sides without shifting to Mumbai. He believes Mumbai is too fast for him.
