The national capital of India is currently burning. Yes, Delhi is engulfed in fire from all across as pro-CAA and anti-CAA protestors take to the streets of East Delhi. A huge mass of Delhiites gathered in parts of East Delhi where violent attacks injured over 30 policemen and lead to the death of Police Constable Ratan Lal. The violent attacks escalated as people started pelting stones, gaslighting buildings, vehicles and putting a whole police station on fire in Bhajanpura. The tragic situation in Delhi has gathered international media attention ahead of Donald Trump’s arrival in New Delhi.

This is surely not gone down well with Bollywood celebrities who have raised their concern over the grieving situation in Delhi. The internet is currently flooded with tormenting videos of fires and violent attacks in Delhi. This has started a Twitter are with #DelhiViolence and #DelhiBurning trending in Delhi. Bollywood celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Sayani Gupta, Kritika Kamra, Ranvir Shorey, Gauahar Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Raveena Tandon, Richa Chadha expressed their displeasure on the current situation. The celebrities have condemned the act as they claimed that ‘anti-CAA are those who are also non-Muslim’.

This has irked a Twitter war where Bollywood celebrities like Sayani Gupta, Anurag Kashyap and Kritika Kamra are beings lammed for their anti-national tweets. While some are in support of Bollywood celebrities, others are calling them out for supporting those who’re against national peace.

For the unversed, this is the second day of protests in Delhi where Section 144 has been applied. At the moment, 11 parts of Delhi have been marked under Section 144 of the constitution that prohibits the gathering of more than 4 people at a time. It is a dark day in the history of Delhi that is currently on fire given the clash of opinions in pro-CAA and anti-CAA groups.
