Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. With five back-to-back hits and a plethora of awards, there is no stopping him. It seems that the talented actor is all set to deliver his six consecutive hit. Yes, Ayushmann’s latest release Dream Girl is off to a dream opening at the Indian box office.

Released yesterday, Dream Girl is winning hearts all over. It is off to a flying start at the box office. Ayushmann Khurrana has time and again delivered superb performances and this one seems an addition to the list.

As per Taran Adarsh, Dream Girl 1st day box office collection is 10.05 crores. This is a big opening for a movie whose budget is just 30 crores. Dream Girl has beaten Badhaai Ho (7.35 crores) to become Ayushmann Khurrana’s highest opening day grosser.

Comparing the opening with other low budget movies of 2019, the first-day collection of Dream Girl is higher than Badla, Luka Chuppi, De De Pyaar De, Uri: The Surgical Strike.

The movie has received positive reviews from critics. Celebrities and filmmakers have also appreciated and touted it as the best comedy film of the year. Dream Girl looks like a perfect family film. It will grow in numbers over the weekend.

A good opening and positive WOM ensures that it will earn around 40 crores in the opening weekend itself. Dream Girl is competing with Chhichhore which is still going strong. Chhichhore collected around 5 crores on its 8th day.

Directed by Raaj Shandilya, Dream Girl is a quirky comedy featuring Ayushmann as a man who is capable of speaking in a girl’s voice. It also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Bannerjee, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Raj Bhansali among others.
