Good Newwz 2nd Day Box Office Collection: After a big opening day, Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz is set for a huge growth on Saturday.
It’s been a sensational year for Akshay Kumar. He started it with a historic drama film Kesari which emerged a big hit. Kesari is followed by Mission Mangal and Housefull 4. Both of them were big hits at the box office. Now, the Khiladi of Bollywood is set to deliver his fourth consecutive hit of the year.
Akshay’s latest release an emotional comic drama Good Newwz is on a roll at the domestic box office. After a big opening day with the collection of Rs 17.56 crore, the film is set for a huge second day. Early reports suggest that the film is looking for at least 25% growth on Saturday.
Good Newwz Day 2 occupancy and box office collection (early estimates)
The film is off to a much better start as compared to Friday (Day 1). It recorded around 35% occupancy in the morning shows. Multiplexes across the country are witnessing good numbers. The film is rocking in north Indian (Delhi, NCR) and East Punjab multiplexes.
With good reviews pouring in, the film is expected to witness good growth in the second half of the day. As the positive trened continues then Good Newwz 2nd day box office collection would be around Rs 23 crore. The total collection of the film after two days would be more than Rs 40+ crore.
Positive WOM will help the film in the coming days. The New year festivities have begun and it is going to be a big opening weekend for the film. Khiladi Kumar is set for his fourth consecutive 100 crore grosser in 2019 after Kesari, Mission Mangal and Housefull 4. There is no stopping him.
Good Newwz box office economics
The estimated budget of Good Newwz is around Rs 105 crore. It includes Kareena Kapoor’s salary and Akshay Kumar’s part salary. He is working on a profit-sharing model with Dharma Productions.
Good Newwz will be considered a hit if it crosses Rs 125 crore. It will be considered average if it crosses Rs 105 crore. The film has recovered a good amount from satellite, digital, music and overseas rights. It recovered around Rs 90 crore from Satellite and digital rights.
