Kabir Singh 17th day box office collection: Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ crosses 230 crore mark, beats biggies like Chennai Express and Kick.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s ‘Kabir Singh’ remained the first choice of the moviegoers despite the release of several new films.
There is no stopping this film as it has now beaten the lifetime collection of biggies like Kick (231.85 crores) and Chennai Express (227.13 crores.)
After a superb first and second week, the film is now having a good run in the third week also. Running on 2000 screens, Kabir Singh had a superb third weekend.
It started the third week on a positive note, earned 5.40 crores on its 15th day. On third Saturday, the film witnessed a huge jump and collected 7.51 crores.
Now, on its 17th day, Kabir Singh once again recorded good footfalls. Early estimates suggest that the film collected around 9.2 crores on the third Sunday. The total collection of the movie after 17 days stands at around 235 crores.
With the collection of 235 crores, Kabir Singh is now the 12th highest grossing movie of Bollywood. It has beaten the lifetime collection of biggies like Kick (231.85 crores) and Chennai Express (227.13 crores).
Will it join the elite 300 crore club?
Will Kabir Singh join the elite 300 cr Club? Well, it looks a possible task now with superb trending in the third week. Though WC matches will act as a roadblock, the film is expected to gather the momentum once the WC is over.
The film will retain more than 1000 screens in the fourth week despite the release of Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30.
Kabir Singh has exceeded as expectations. In the first week, it earned massive 134.42 crores. It crossed the 200 crore mark in the second week itself taking its total to 213.2 crores. Now, in the third week, it is going super strong at the box office. It should cross 250 crores by the end of this week.
