Kabir Singh beats Bharat to become the second highest grosser of 2019

With the collection of around 213.2 crores in two weeks, Kabir Singh is now the second highest grossing movie of 2019 beating Salman Khan’s Bharat (211.1 crores).

Shahid Kapoor‘s ‘Kabir Singh’ has emerged as the biggest blockbuster of the year. After cruising past 200 crore mark on Wednesday, the film has now achieved one more milestone.

With the total collection of 213.2 crores, Kabir Singh has now become the second highest grossing movie of the year. It has beaten the lifetime collection of Salman Khan‘s Eid release Bharat (211.2 crores).

Kabir Singh had a superb second week at the domestic box office. It earned 78.78 crores in the second week, taking it total box office collection to 213.2 crores. It had a superb opening week with the collection of 134.42 crores.

Talking about the highest grossing movies of 2019, Kabir Singh is still behind Uri: The Surgical Strike. Vicky Kaushal’s war drama film earned 245 crores in India. However, Kabir Singh is expected to beat it by the end of the third week.

Will Kabir Singh join the elite 300 cr Club? Well, it looks a tough task as some big WC matches are there which might act as a roadblock. The trend in the third week will give an idea about its lifetime collection. Kabir Singh has retained more than 2000 screens in the third week.

It will remain the first choice for the moviegoers this week. However, ‘Spiderman: Man Far From Home’ is expected to give it a tough fight especially in the high-end metro cities.

Released on 1945 screens, ‘Spiderman: Man Far From Home’ earned 10.05 crores on its opening day. It is expected to earn 45+ crores in the opening weekend.
