Kangana Ranaut turns producer with film based on Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid court case

Acting queen Kangana Ranaut turns producer for ‘Aparajitha Ayodhya’, a film based on the infamous Ram Mandir -Babri Masjid court case. The film will mark Kangana’s first venture as a producer in Hindi cinema.

Kangana is known to spill surprises every once in a while. The ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ star is also famous for her controversial statements, remarks and loudmouth. However, it is her acting prowess and smart choice of films that has sustained her career in the ruthless Bollywood industry. As per reports, Ms Ranaut is venturing into film production with a film by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who is the scriptwriter behind ‘Bahubali’.

The film is based on the sensitive topic of Ram Mandir-Babri masjid court case. Upon being asked about her choice of film for debut production, she said that she has grown up in the era where Ayodhya has always been viewed in the negative. However, after the final verdict was declared she saw a paradigm shift the political scene of India. She has come to believe that is the turning point as far as secular India is concerned. The story of the film will be based on the life of the protagonist, who graduates from sceptic to believer.

The controversial topic has already been taken up by filmmakers and documentary writers. However, Kangana claims that ‘Aparajitha Ayodhya’ will be different as it reflects on her personal journey. She is confident about her choice of film for the first production venture. She also said that India is a nation of ‘Believers’ who would stand by there god even in the most adverse times.

In a series of tweets shared by sister Rangoli Chandel, she said that Kangana would name her production house as Manikarnika Films. The production house will back films based on topics that people usually fear touching upon.

Kangana was last seen as co-director in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ where she also played the lead role of Jhansi Ki Rani. The film was a critical and commercial success. She will be seen next in ‘panga’ opposite Jassi Gill and later in Rajneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai’s action film ‘Dhaakad’.
