Akshay Kumar’s Kesari is the first choice of the moviegoers despite the release of Notebook and Junglee. Read day 9 box office collection report of the movie.
Kesari 9th day box office collection a drop of 30% on second Friday from Thursday but still, it earned more than new releases of the week Junglee and Notebook.
As per early estimates, Kesari 9th day box office collection would be around 4 crores. The total collection of the movie after 9 days stands at around 110 crores.
Kesari is trending on the same lines as Total Dhamaal. The only difference being that Total Dhamaal found more appreciation in Mumbai and Gujarat while Kesari is ruling in north India.
Kesari and Total Dhamaal are looking at earn around 95 crores from the biggest contributors North India and Mumbai circuit. Total Dhamaal earned around 55 crores in Mumbai circuit and 40 crores in North. Kesari will end up with 35 crores in Mumbai and 60 crores in North.
Kesari budget and expected lifetime collection
The total budget of Kesari including the promotion and advertising cost is 100 crores. It needs to earn 130 crores to be declared a box office hit.
With a good hold on second Friday, Kesari is expected to witness decent growth on Saturday and Sunday. It should cross 120 crore mark by the end of the second weekend.
The new releases Notebook and Junglee have opened to poor numbers and Kesari will benefit from it. While Notebook earned around 80 lakhs on Friday, Junglee had a slightly better opening day with the collection of around 2.3 crores.
Talking about lifetime collection, Kesari still has a chance to enter 150 crore club. However, it needs to remain stable for the next two weeks to achieve this feat.
