Malang 2nd Day Box Office Collection: Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer Malnag is steady on Saturday, collection to be in the same range as opening day.

As predicted by us, Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani starrer ‘Malang’ got off to a decent opening at the box office. The film collected Rs 6.71 crore on Friday to become the 3rd highest opening day grosser of 2020. Now on Saturday, the film is again off to a good start. It recorded around 20% opening in the morning shows.

Cinema houses are closed today in Delhi on account of Assembly Elections 2020. This impacted the overall box office numbers of Malang on the second day. We will see good growth in the occupancy especially in the evening and night shows on Sunday.

Maland has received mixed reviews from critics. Some of them rated it as one of the best thrillers while others have pointed out loopholes in its direction and screenplay. However, the positive word of mouth is driving the film.

Coming to weekend collection, Malang has already loss around Rs 1 crore on day 2 as the cinema halls are closed in Delhi. However, the film is expected to witness good growth in the second half of the day. Malang 2nd day box office collection is around Rs 9 crore. The real Box Office test will start from Monday while it will be biggest opening weekend for Aditya Roy Kapoor.

The total collection of Malang after two days would be around Rs 15 crore. As the competition is low, Malang would look to cross Rs 25 crore mark in the first weekend and then consolidate on weekdays.

The budget of Malang is around Rs 60 crore. In order to become a box office hit, it needs to collect Rs 70 crore. It will be considered average if it crosses Rs 60 crore. Directed by Mohit Suri, Malang also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu. The film is being co-produced by T-Series and Luv Films.
