Mardaani 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Good Hold On First Wednesday

Mardaani 2 box office collection day 6: Mardaani 2 continues to shine, collected around Rs 2.5 crore on its first Wednesday.

After a good opening weekend, Rani Mukherji starrer Mardaani 2 continues to shine at the box office on weekdays. The power of strong content is working in favour of the film. Though the film is earning at lower levels, still, the hold on weekdays is commendable.

Talking about 1st Wednesday collection, the film witnessed a drop of just 5%. The collections in West Bengal and Delhi are affected due to heavy protest against CAB. Despite massive protests, the film is holding well. As per the reports coming, Mardaani 2 6th day box office collection is around Rs 2.5 crore. The hold on Wednesday ascertains that the first-week collection will be Rs 28+ crore.

Mardaani 2 Box Office Collection

Released on 1900 screens, Mardaani 2 got off to an average opening as it earned Rs 3.8 crore on Friday. It witnessed superb growth over the weekend as it collected Rs 6.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.80 crore on Sunday.

The film is holding well on weekdays. It collected Rs 2.85 crore on Monday followed by Rs 2.65 crore on Tuesday. Mardaani 2 is competing with Hollywood biggie ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’. A solo release could have been a big positive for Mardaani 2.

So far, Mardaani 2 has performed better than Rani Mukherji’s last two films– Hichki (2018) and Mardaani (2014). However, it would be interesting to see if it can beat the lifetime numbers of these two films. Mardaani 2 collected Rs 35.6 crore in its lifetime while Hichki minted Rs 46.21 crore.

The big threat for Mardaani 2 is coming on Friday. Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 is releasing on 20 Dec 2019. It is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Salman Khan’s film is releasing on more than 4000 screens. It would be difficult for Mardaani 2 to survive Dabangg 3 storm.

Mardaani 2 lifetime collection

Mardaani 2 is expected to wrap up its box office journey in two weeks. I am expecting it to collect around Rs 38 crore in its lifetime.
