Mardaani 2 Day 4 Box Office Collection: Holds Well On Monday

Mardaani 2 4th day box office collection: Rani Mukherji starrer Mardaani 2 holds well on Monday collected around Rs 3 crore.

After a good opening weekend with the collection of Rs 18.25 crore, Rani Mukherji’s Mardaani 2 holds well on Monday. The film’s collection drop by around 25% compared to the first day. This is generally a very good hold but in this case, the opening wasn’t big. The hold could have been better but massive protests across the country affected the numbers.

As per the reports coming, Mardaani 2 4th day collection is around Rs 3 crore. The total collection of the film after 4 days stands at Rs 21+ crore. The first-week collection of the film would be around Rs 28 crore.

Mardaani 2 is the second instalment of the 2014 crime-thriller Mardaani, which was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Mardaani 2 is directed by Gopi Puthran, who has made his directional debut. He was the writer of the first film of the franchise.

Talking about Mardaani 2 journey at the box office, the film had a positive opening with the collection of Rs 3.8 crore on its first day. It witnessed good growth over the weekend. On Saturday, the film minted Rs 6.65 crore followed by Rs 7.80 crore on Sunday.

Mardaani 2 is Rani Mukherji’s best performing film in recent times. Her last two films – Hichki (2018) and Mardaani (2014) – had earned Rs 15.35 crore and Rs 14. 46 crore in their first weekend. Mardaani 2 first weekend collection stands at Rs 18+ crore.

Despite good hold, Mardaani 2 would find it difficult to sustain in the second week. Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 is releasing on Friday and it will churn out a lot of screens. Mardaani 2 is a strong film. It could have done better if released on a good date.

I am expecting Mardaani 2 to wrap up its box office journey with the lifetime collection under Rs 40 crore. However, it is a good result for a film with a budget of around Rs 30 crore.
