Milap Milan Zaveri’s latest outing, ‘Marjaavaan’ starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria has recorded a great opening at the Box Office.
The film opened to a whopping Rs 7 crores despite largely negative reviews. As per reports, the film has been performing well in single screens and small multiplexes but seemingly low collections have been recorded in large multiplexes in metro cities.
‘Marjaavaan’ has remained steady at the Box Office on the second day too. It recorded an approximate amount of Rs 7.21 crores on Saturday too. Sunday brought in even merrier collections of Rs 10.18 crores even though the film has failed to impress the critics.
#Marjaavaan jumps on Day 3… Healthy weekend… Finds patronage from mass markets… Large chunk of biz from single screens… Multiplexes of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities better… Mon biz is decider… Fri 7.03 cr, Sat 7.21 cr, Sun 10.18 cr. Total: ₹ 24.42 cr. #India biz.

Marjaavaan First Weekend Box Office Collection is around 25 Crore which is not bad as the reviews are mixed or largely negative. The numbers of first 3 days are steady not big jump even on Sunday, faced a clash with Blockbuster run Bala (90 Crore in 10 days).
Sidharth Malhotra’s last five films Bar Bar Dekho, A Gentleman, Ittefaq, Aiyaary and Jabriya Jodi are flops in a row, now Milap Zaveri tried to pull Sidharth’s graph on track but first weekend not enough strong, First Monday test will decide its verdict.
Sid’s last 4 films failed to touch 20 Crore at Indian Box Office while 50 Crore budgeted Bar Bar Dekho (30.62 Crore) also a flop film. He is still in race because, he has large number of fan following, popular amongst females because good looks and acting, he needs to pick a right script like counterparts Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana and others.
After back to back 5 flops, Marjaavan is doing better, let’s see what will be the final number at Indian Box Office. This is for the Indian Mass, so it can be remained steady on weekdays.
