Box Office: Mission Mangal 4th Day Collection, Inches Closer To 100 Crore Mark

Mission Mangal Becomes Akshay Kumar's First 200 Crore Grosser

Mission Mangal 4th day collection: Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal had a huge Sunday, all set to enter 100 crore club.

Mission Mangal has emerged as one of the biggest hits of Akshay Kumar’s career. Released on 15 Aug 2019 along with John Abraham Batla House, it is all set to enter the elite 100 crore club. Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal started its box office journey with a bang, earning 29.16 crores on its opening day.

It holds well on Friday (2nd day) and earned 17.28 crores. On Saturday, the movie witnessed big growth in the collection and earned 23.58 crores. Now on the last day of the opening weekend, it went into overdrive mode.

Mission Mangal was unstoppable on Sunday as it recorded the highest Sunday of 2019 beating Kabir Singh and Bharat. As per Taran Adarsh, Mission Mangal 4th day collection is 27.54 crores. It will cross 100 crore mark today.

The opening weekend (4 days) collection of Mission Mangal is 97.56 crores. It is now the highest opening weekend grosser for Akshay Kumar beating 2.0 (Hindi), Kesari and Gold.

Mission Mangal is all set to become the fastest 100 crore grosser for Akshay Kumar touching the magic number in 5 days. It will be Akshay Kumar’s 12th 100 crore grosser, second-most by a Bollywood actor.

A huge opening weekend has ensured that Mission Mangal is a big hit at the Indian box office. However, the performance on weekdays will tell how far it will go. It has a good chance to become Akshay Kumar’s first 200 crore grosser.

The total budget of Mission Mangal including the production, advertising and salaries of the star cast is around 100 crores. It needs to earn 125 crore to be called a hit. It will be considered average if it crosses 100 crore mark. Considering the current pace, I am expecting the film to cross earn at least 170 crores in its lifetime.
