Mission Mangal 7th Day Collection: Akshay Kumar’s Film Is Going Strong

Mission Mangal Becomes Akshay Kumar's First 200 Crore Grosser

Mission Mangal 7th day collection: After a superb extended opening weekend, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal is going strong on weekdays.

Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. Directed by Jagan Shakti, the film is going strong at the box office after a big extended opening weekend. On the 7th day of its release, the film has crossed 120 crore mark.

Released on 15 Aug alongside John Abraham’s Batla House, Mission Mangal has impressed the audience as well as critics. The film started its box office journey on a terrific note, earning 29.16 crores on its first day. It is the highest opening day for Akshay Kumar and second highest of 2019 after Bharat (42.2 crores).

It collected 17.28 crores on Friday, 23.58 crores on Saturday, and 27.54 crores on Sunday to end the extended opening weekend with the collection of 97.56 crores. The film emerged as the highest opening weekend grosser for Akshay Kumar.

After a huge opening weekend, the film witnessed a drop of 48.44% on Monday (compared to Friday) and collected 8.91 crores. With a slight drop on Tuesday, it collected 7.92 crores. Now, on the 7th day of its release, Akshay Kumar starrer remained stable at the box office.

As per Taran Adarsh, Mission Mangal 7th day box office collection is 6.84 crores. The total collection of the film after seven days stands at 121.23 crores.

The total budget of Mission Mangal including the production, advertising and salaries of the star cast is around 100 crores. It needs to earn 125 crores to become a hit. Considering the current pace, I am expecting the film to cross earn at least 170 crores in its lifetime.

In fact, the film has a good chance to become Akshay Kumar’s first 200 crore grosser. There is no competition till the release of Saaho on 30 Aug 2019.
