Panga Box Office Collection Day 5: After a big drop in the collection on Monday, Kangana Ranaut's 'Panga' dips further on Tuesday.

Panga Box Office Collection Day 5: After a big drop in the collection on Monday, Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Panga’ dips further on Tuesday.

Kangana Ranaut’s poor form at the box office continues with Panga. Despite superb reviews from critics and positive WOM from the audience, the film is struggling to get footfalls in theatres. The film has failed completely as the box office numbers are way below expectation. After a low opening weekend, the film is struggling on weekdays as well.

Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the film had a poor start at the box office, collecting just Rs 2.70 crore. The film doubled its collection on Saturday, collection Rs 5.51 crore. However, it remained flat on Sunday and managed to collect only Rs 6.60 crore despite the big Republic Day holiday. The box office fate of the film was sealed on Monday as it crashed and collected only Rs 1.65 crore.

Now on Tuesday, faces no drop. Panga 5th day box office collection is Rs 1.65 crore. There is no revival from this point now. The total collection after 5 days stands at Rs 18.21 crore. Here’s a look at the day-wise collection of the film:

First day collection: Rs 2.70 crore

Second day collection: Rs 5.61 crore

Third day collection: Rs 6.60 crore

Fourth day collection: Rs 1.65 crore

Fifth day collection: Rs 1.65 crore

Kangana has delivered one of the best performances of his career. She is possibly the best actress of the current generation. However, her box office graph continues to dip. She had only one hit to her name in the 5 years (7 films).

Panga failed mainly because of its limited appeal and absence of a known male lead. Strong competition from Street Dancer 3D and Tanhaji has also deterred film collection at the box office. The lifetime collection of Panga would be around Rs 25 crore. After Chhapaak, Panga is the second women-centric film which failed at the box office.
