Pati Patni Aur Woh 1st day box office collection: The film is a remake of 1978 classic film Pati Patni Aur Woh starring Sanjeev Kumar.

Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday starrer “Pati Pati Aur Woh” is in cinemas now. Directed by  Mudassar Aziz, the romantic comedy film is a remake of 1978 film of the same name. As predicted by us, the film is off to a good opening. Released on around 2000 screens, the film recorded 25%-30% occupancy in the morning shows. This is a very good start considering the budget and scale of the film.

So far, the film has received unanimously positive reviews from the critics. Film critic Taran Adarsh has given Pati Patni Aur Woh 3.5 stars and has said, “Thoroughly entertaining contemporary adaptation of BR Chopra’s classic… Well penned, well-executed, well enacted [Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi, Ananya, Aparshakti, all in terrific form]… Recommended”. Other critics have also given 3+ stars to the film.

General WOM of the public is also positive. People are appreciating the film on social media as well. With positive WOM and appreciation from the critics coming, PPAW is expected to show superb growth over the weekend. It should easily cross Rs 40 crore mark in the first weekend.

Coming to economics, Pati Patni Aur Woh is a medium budget film. The budget of the film is around Rs 40 crore including the promotion and advertising cost. The film is already a profitable venture for the makers as it has recovered around Rs 35 crore through digital and satellite rights.

Coming to box office, the film needs to cross Rs 50 crore mark to become a hit. It should easily cross this number by the end of the first week itself.
