PM Narendra Modi, India’s Most Wanted 1st Day Box Office Collection: This Friday releases, Vivek Oberoi’s PM Narendra Modi and Arjun Kapoor’s India’s Most Wanted are off to a poor opening.
Things are not going for Bollywood this week as the two new releases, India’s Most Wanted & PM Narendra Modi are struggling at the box office. Both of them got off to a low opening and failed to gain expected momentum on the second day.
Last week release De De Pyaar De is performing far better this week Hindi release. This week Hollywood release Disney’s musical fantasy Aladdin is leading the race at the box office.
Will Smith, Mena Massoud & Naomi Scott starrer Aladdin, a live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1992 animated film of the same name, is getting a positive response. After a decent opening day with the collection of 4.25 crores, Aladdin witnessed good growth on Saturday. As per early estimates, Aladdin 2nd day collection
Indias Most Wanted and PM Narendra Modi have opened to poor response with the latter having an edge as India’s Most Wanted did not have any morning shows. Well, the decision was taken by the production and distribution company, Fox Star Studios.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Fox Star Studios (India’s Most Wanted production and distribution company) had spoken to the national multiplex chains, PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, to avoid all early morning shows.
“Our audience will only venture to the theatres towards the evening and taking into consideration the high overhead costs for theatre owners, we didn’t think it is wise to run the morning shows with minimal attendance,” revealed a source close to the film.
However, despite being the sole warrior, Vivek Oberoi’s film failed to make much impact in the morning shows and recorded an occupancy of around 10% in the morning shows. The movie failed to gain the required momentum as the day progressed. It received mixed reviews from the critics. PM Narendra Modi 1st day box office collection is 2.88 crores.
The other release, Arjun Kapoor’s India’s Most Wanted received better reviews from critics. However, due to poor promotion and marketing strategy, the movie failed to get going on the first day. As per early estimates, India’s Most Wanted 1st day box office collection is 2.1 crores.
Last week release, De De Pyaar De has shown better performances on its 8th day compared to new releases. Hollywood film Alladin is off a good opening. It has performed better than the Hindi releases.
