Romeo Akbar Walter 3rd day box office collection: After a slow start, John Abraham’s RAW witnessed decent growth on Saturday and Saturday to end the opening weekend on a positive note.
After a low opening day with the collection of 5.25 crores, John Abraham starrer spy thriller film RAW saw decent growth in collections on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday and Sunday, the evening and night show collections were affected by the IPL matches.
Despite poor reviews, RAW has found appreciation among the audience. Though the critics have thrashed, the audience has accepted it and the growth over the weekend is a clear indication.
As per early estimates, Romeo Akbar Walter 3rd day box office collection would be around 8 crores. The total collection of the movie after two days stands at 19.75 crores. Here is a look at day-wise box office collection of RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter):
First Day: 5.25 crores
Second Day: 6.5 crores
Third Day: 8 crores (early estimates)
First Weeknd: 19.75 crores
RAW is underperforming at the box office and the main reason behind it is the mixed reviews it has received from the critics.
Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) Budget and expected lifetime collection
The total budget of Romeo Akbar Walter inclusive of prints and advertising cost is 34 crores. The production cost is 24 crores while the printing and advertising cost is 10 crores.
Romeo Akbar Walter will be considered a hit if it crosses 45 crore mark at the Indian box office. It will be considered average if it crosses 34 crores.
With the current trend, RAW is expected to earn around 30 crores in the first weekend. After a decent opening weekend, it all boils down to how the movie performs on weekdays. Monday will be very crucial for RAW as it will give an idea about its lifetime collection.
RAW is more of a multiplex film. Hence, it may witness a big drop today. I think that the movie will find it difficult to sustain after the opening weekend. I am expecting the lifetime collection to be below 40 crores.
Released on around 2000 screens in India, RAW also features Mouni Roy, Sikander Kher, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. It is a hard-hitting realistic spy thriller movie.
