Salman Khan’s Bodyguard Shera joins Shiv Sena

Early this morning, Shiva Sena Mumbai took to Twitter to announce the news of the latest join in their political party. In a tweet shared, Shiv Sena whole-heartedly welcomed Salman Khan’s long-term bodyguard Gurmeet Singh Jolly who is fondly known as ‘Shera’.

The pictures from the event show Party Chief Uddav Thackrey and Yuva Sena President Aditya Thackrey alongside Shera. The welcoming ceremony took place at the Thackrey house in Matoshree. The news comes ahead of the Mumbai Election Polls that are scheduled for 21 October. The vote counting will take place on 24 October 2019.

Who is Shera?

Salman Khan has been well-guarded for the last two decades – All thanks to his fearless bodyguard Gurmeet Singh Jolly a.k.a. Shera. The guy happens to be Salman’s most trusted security personnel who has gone on record to say that he would give up his life if Bhaijaan was under attack. In one of his interviews, Shera said  “I always tell people that they will never see me standing behind or next to bhai. I will be standing in front of him, looking out for any threat”.

The ‘Dabangg’ star also leaves no chance to express gratitude and respect for Shera’s unquestionable service of 20 years. The actor even dedicated his 2014 film ‘Bodyguard’ to Gurmeet. Salman Khan played the role of a bodyguard in the film who’s character his inspired by Shera.

On the work front, Shera runs an agency named the Tiger Security Services. The agency provides security to high-profile clients like Flash, Diana King, U2, Bryan Adams, Shaggy, Keanu Reeves, and Paris Hilton. Shera also provided security to Canadian pop star Justin Bieber during his Indian concert in May 2017. The Tiger Security Services was recently honoured with the Best Security Agency in Asia award in Malaysia. Shera honourably thanks Salman Bhaijaan for his continuous support and help.

Shera has been a goo bodyguard so far, let us see how far he can make it with politics.
