Jabariya Jodi featuring Sidharth and Parineeti that was earlier slated to release on 2 August has been postponed 9 August to avoid Bollywood Box-Office clutter.
The lead actors of ‘Jabariya Jodi’ have been super busy promoting the film around the country. They have been on tour for a while now making public appearances, on television shows etc. The two stars were last seen enjoying Delhi’s special ‘fire pan’ in Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi.
As per reports, the makers have decided to postpone the release of the film by a week. So, ‘Jabariya Jodi’ will now be releasing on 9 August 2019 instead of its initial release date of 2 August 2019.
The makers are of the viewpoint that they do not want the movie to suffer at the hands already-running successful films like ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Lion King’, ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ and ‘Super 30’. The prominent exhibitors of the country had collectively decided to request the makers to postpone the release of the film.
IT'S OFFICIAL… #JabariyaJodi – which was slated for release on 2 Aug 2019 – will now release one week later: 9 Aug 2019.

While ‘Jabariya Jodi’ has been postponed, Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Khandani Shafakhana’ and ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw’ will release on their original date of 2 August 2019. Going by the trend, the filmmakers and exhibitors have now started to play around with release dates in order to make movies more profitable.
It also makes sense to leave in some gap between two big releases. This way, the makers can enjoy the bankability of the film while the audience can stay focused on what every single movie has to showcase.
‘Jabariya Jodi’ is a romantic comedy directed by Prashant Singh, produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh. The film is based on the real-life practice of groom kidnapping in the state of Bihar, India.
