Street Dancer 3D Box Office Collection Day 5: Varun Dhawan’s Street Dancer 3D continues to struggle as it dips further on Tuesday, collected around Rs 4.2 crore.
Street Dancer 3D 5th day collection: After a decent opening weekend, Varun Dhawan’s dance film ‘Street Dancer 3D’ is struggling at the box office. It witnessed a huge drop of around 55% on Monday, collecting just Rs 4.65 crore. Now, on Tuesday, the collection dips further by around 10%. As per early estimates, Street Dancer 3D collected around Rs 4.1 crore on Tuesday. The total collection after 5 days stands at around Rs 50 crore.
The film is definitely under-performing as it should have crossed Rs 50 crore mark by the end of the first weekend. Despite the high pre-release buzz and franchise factor, Street Dancer 3D had an average start as it collected just Rs 10.26 crore on Friday (day 1). It witnessed good growth over the weekend, earning Rs 13.21 crore and Rs 17.76 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Here’s a look at the day-wise collection of the film:
First day collection: Rs 10.26 crore
Second day collection: Rs 13.21 crore
Third day collection: Rs 17.76 crore
Fourth day collection: Rs 4.65 crore
Fifth day collection: Rs 4.1 crore (early estimates)
Released on 3700 screens, Street Dancer 3D was expected to perform well. The previous two films of the franchise were big hits and the same is expected from this. However, it is under-performing due to poor content. The film has received mixed reviews from the critics. The word of mouth is also not helping the film either.
The budget of Street Dancer 3D is around Rs 100 crore. It needs to cross Rs 120 crore mark to become a box office hit. Well, this achieving this number looks out of reach now. With no major releases this week, Street Dancer 3D has a chance to survive for one more week. However, it has to remain steady to retain good number of screens in the second week.
