Thappad 1st Day Box Office Collection: Taapsee Pannu social-drama film is off an average opening, collected around Rs 3.2 crore on day 1.
As predicted by us, Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad is off to an average opening at the box office. The film recorded around 25% occupancy Friday. This is a fair start for the film whose primitive target is the multiplex audience. As per early estimates, Thappad 1st day box office collection is around Rs 3 crore.
The opening is better than Kangana Ranaut’s Panga but lower than Rani Mukherjee’s Mardaani and Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak. Compared to recent Taapsee Pannu films, the first day collection of Thapaad is less than Pink and Badla. However, is higher than Mulk, Saand Ki Aankh and Game Over.
Thappad has received unanimously positive reviews from critics. The media has already declared it a classic. It is the top-rated Bollywood movie in the last 2 years. So, we can expect the business to multiply over the weekend. With positive reviews pouring in, the film has the potential to double its collection on Saturday.
A 15+ crore opening weekend would be an ideal result for the film. The budget is Thappad around Rs 25 crore. It will be considered hit if it crosses Rs 30 crore mark. Well, the opening is positive and one can expect the film to be a box office hit.
