The event organizer accused Sonakshi of not turning up at an event in Delhi last year even after accepting a booking amount of 24 Lakhs. The Moradabad and Mumbai police officials turned up at her residence in Mumbai to record her statement.
A certain event organizer from Uttar Pradesh claimed to have paid Sonakshi Sinha a sum of Rs 24 Lakhs as advance booking for attending an event in Delhi.
She cancelled upon him at the very last minute leaving the event organizer with no choice but to lodge an official complaint against her. He has been successful in filing a case of cheating against the Dabangg actress in Mumbai on Thursday.
The FIR was filed in Moradabad station of Uttar Pradesh, India. On Thursday, police officers from Juhu and Moradabad police stations gathered at the actresses’ house in Mumbai to record her statement against the case of cheating.
However, they returned empty-handed after waiting for a few hours. She couldn’t come home on time amidst her busy schedule. The officials will likely be back on Friday to record her take on the case.
Sonakshi Sinha’s spokesperson refused the allegations against the actress saying, “In her nine-year-long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot-free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide.”
The beautiful actress will be gracing the silver screen on 15 August in Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal. Other big-budgeted films like Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 and Bhuj: The Pride of India will also feature the Bollywood babe in pivotal roles.
