CAA Protests: Twitter roars against Bollywood by trending #BollywoodAgainstIndia

Twitterati show their angst against Bollywood celebrities like Farhan Akhtar and Ranvir Shorey for misleading the youth of the nations. #BollywoodAgainstIndian trending on Twitter.

Bollywood stars like Swara Bhasker, Farhan Akhtar, Siddharth Malhotra, Vicky Kaushal and Huma Qureshi have found themselves in a Twitter boil. The stars tweeted in support of the Jamia tudents who were brutally attacked by the Delhi Police. But the Twitterati seem to be more offended than happy with the Bollywood support.

The #BollywoodAgainstIndia trended all morning on Twitter. According to fans, the stars do not completely understand the CAA and its effects. The stars are aimlessly joining the cause and using their ‘influence’ to cause unnecessary disruption in society. This public reaction comes after ‘Rock On’ star Farhan Akhtar tweeted about a protest march happening in Mumbai. He said he would also join the protests with the locals at the August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai on December 19, 2019.

The tweet has attracted more flak than any other star tweets since the CAA protests commenced. The fans were quick to notice the truncated map of India in his tweet that projected Kashmir as a part of Pakistan. Farhan’s fans even corrected the minute details about the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019.

The twiteratti are accusing Farhan Akhtar of misleading his fans through false information and forged facts. They are calling out Farhan for being an anti-national. IPS Officer Sandeep Mittal also replied to him stating that he is also being charged for Offence u/s 121 of Indian Penal Code.

Farhan has been quick enough in apologizing for not being vigilant enough while posting. In his tweet, he rejected the ‘inaccurate’ map of India that shows Kashmir as a part of Pakistan.

Besides Frahan Akhtar, the tweeples have been constantly tweeting against the Bollywood stars who know very little bout the repercussions of the CAA. They are calling out Bollywood stars for being ‘careless’, ‘low IQ’, ‘fake’ and ‘having their moment of fame’ etc. The fans are urging others to boycott Bollywood and stop going to cinemas altogether.
