Dabangg 3 Box Office Collection Day 10: After a decent opening weekend, Salman Khan starrer is struggling at the box office in the second week.
Dabangg 3 Box Office Collection Day 10: Salman Khan’s latest outing Dabangg 3 is fading at the box office. After a decent opening week with the collection of Rs 126.55 crore, the film is struggling in the second week. Dabangg 3 has a slow start as it earned just Rs 2.8 crore on its second Friday.
The film is getting a huge competition from Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz that released this Friday, earned 4.08 Crore on Saturday. Early estimates suggest that Dabangg 3 10th day collection is around Rs 6.5 crore. The total collection after 10 days stands at around Rs 140 crore. Dabangg 3 may find it difficult to cross Rs 150 crore mark unless it gets a big boost on New Year holidays.
Dabangg 3 had a pretty good opening with the collection of around Rs 24.50 crore. It had a good opening week with the collection of Rs 126.55 crore. However, in the first week, the overall business of the film has been severely affected by protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Trade experts believe that Dabangg 3 lost around Rs 20 crore in the first week due to these protests. Moreover, the mixed reviews and negative WOM hasn’t helped the film either.
Dabangg 3 lifetime collection: early estimates
Dabangg 3 is the third film of the Dabangg franchise. The first film of the franchise released on Eid 2010 was a blockbuster with the lifetime collection of Rs 138.88 crore. Dabangg 2 released in 2012 collected Rs 155 crore in its lifetime. While Dabangg 3 has crossed Dabangg’s lifetime numbers, it would be interesting to see if it can surpass the lifetime collection of Dabangg 2.
The total budget of Dabangg 3 is around Rs 125 crore. As per the reports coming, the film has recovered more than Rs 100 crore through satellite and digital rights. Coming to its box office economics, it will be considered a hit if it crosses Rs 150 crore. It will be considered average if it crosses Rs 125 crore. Dabangg 3 is a profitable venture for the makers as it has already recovered a huge amount from satellite, music and overseas rights.
