The full form of B.Des is Bachelor of Design, which is a 4-year undergraduate degree program offered in various specializations like Jewellery Designing, Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Game Design, Web Design Textile Design, etc.

Some of the latest & trending specializations of the B.Des program are Web Designing, Game Designing, VFX & Multimedia, etc. Also, there are multiple degree courses after 12th are available for students of different streams.

Course Details

The B.Des program is of 4 years duration, which is divided into 8 semesters. The four years course curriculum comprises both theory and practical subjects like CAD, CAM, product development, marketing, specialization-specific subjects, vocational subjects, elective subjects as well as personality and skills development subjects.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in pursuing B.Des must check the eligibility criteria given below:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board of school education.
  • The minimum age limit for admission to BDes courses is 19 or 20 years at the time of admission.
  • Candidates of any stream Science, Commerce or Arts are eligible for admission to B.Des programme(s).
