Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is a standard undergraduate degree for students pursuing professional education in the visual, fine, or performing arts. The programme is also known as a Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA).

Candidates can enrol in this course after completing their 12th grade; it is a 3 or 4 year UG degree programme with a specialisation in either visual or performing arts. Painting, animation, literature, photography, sculpture, and other forms of visual arts are included.

Course Details
BFA is a three to four-year UG degree programme divided into six or eight semesters. The BFA course curriculum includes both theoretical and practical subjects; the curriculum for a BFA course is heavily influenced by the specialisation chosen by the candidate.

Eligibility Criteria
For pursuing a BFA course there are no fixed eligibility conditions, but one must be aware of the following requirements:
- Candidates should pass class 12th from a recognized board.
- Some universities might have some minimum percentage required for pursuing this course.
- Candidates having arts/humanities in class 12th might get some preference at the time of admission.
