BMS College of Engineering, formally known as Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering (BMSCE), is a privately owned autonomous body in Bangalore, India. It was established by the late Sri B.M. Sreenivasaiah in 1946 and is now under the B.M.S. Educational Trust. It is ranked 83rd among engineering colleges by the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF). 

The BMSCE has been accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. The college has a total of 46 courses, including UG, PG, and PhD, out of which it provides a total of 13 undergraduate courses in engineering and 16 post-graduation courses. The flagship program of BMS is B.E. which is a four-year undergraduate engineering program.

The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, and the undergraduate courses have autonomous status. The pivotal course for the university is B.E., in which admission is done based on various state and national-level entrance tests.

The college does not conduct a personal entrance exam for admission to any course. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on both merit and rank in any of the state- or national-level exams.

Cut-off

The college releases the rank or merit marks a candidate must have to get admission to the college. The minimum and maximum ranks required will be posted on the college’s official website. The cut-offs for the KCET and COMEDK exams are announced separately. The college’s qualifying standards are 45% with physics and mathematics as obligatory subjects for undergraduates and 50% for postgraduates.

B.M.S. College of Engineering Ranking

The BMSCE is ranked 83rd by NIRF for the year 2022. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and is accredited by the NBA and NAAC as an A++ college. It was ranked 24th by India today for the year 2018.

How to Apply for BMSCE 2023?

The rank in state-level tests KCET and COMED-K is generally accepted for admission to the B.M.S. College of Engineering. Ranks in JEE’s mains are also acceptable for admission. The college also provides direct entry to students through quotas. Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for the KCET exam.

• Submit the KCET application form; you can also download or print it for future reference.
