CAT 2019 Exam Dates has been released on 26th July 2019. The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 will be conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Prof. Shubhasis Dey, the Convener, said in a statement issued by IIM-Kozhikode (IIM-K) that the notification for CAT 2019 will be released in the newspaper on July 28th, 2019. The registration for CAT 2019 will begin on 7th August 2019. Candidates will be able to apply only till 18 September 2019.
The CAT 2019 exam is conducted for admission to various management courses which is organized only once in a year by the IIMs on a rotation basis. The exam will be organized in test centers spread across approximately 156 cities. Candidates will get an option to select for cities as per their preference. Cities & centers will be assigned to the candidates only after the last date of registration. Therefore, it has been instructed that candidates need not rush to block slots & cities in the initial date of registration.
Candidates will have to submit the registration fee through online mode. The mode of payment includes credit card, debit card or net-banking. Once application form will get submitted, candidates will be permitted to download their admit card. The admit card will be made available from 23rd October 2019 & will be available till the test date.
CAT 2019 exam will be conducted on 24th November 2019 in two sessions. The test duration will be of 180 minutes. There will be three sections for Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.
Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes for answering questions in a section. No candidate will be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering the question in a section.
Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice questions. Instead, candidates will have to type a direct answer on the screen. The tutorials will explain this. In addition, the authority will allow the use of a basic-on screen calculator for computation.
The CAT website will go live on 28th July 2019. In a live session, there will be a section of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) which will clear some of the commonly asked queries regarding CAT 2019.
