CUET PG Result 2022: NTA has released the CUET PG 2022 result on 26th September. Around 6 lakh candidates appeared for CUET PG 2022 exam.
For the postgraduate (PG) entry, unlike CUET-UG, no normalization of scores has been done, and universities will disclose their rank lists based on “raw” marks rather than normalized NTA scores.
Statement of UGC Chairman
According to UGC chairman Jagadesh Kumar, “no normalization of results has been done in CUET-PG, and the institutions will prepare the rank lists on the basis of “raw marks” and not NTA scores.”
The University Grants Commission (UGC) had previously indicated candidates that rank lists will be generated based on normalized National Testing Agency scores for the CUET-UG, the results of which were released on September 16. In this exam, scores were normalized.
Reason of No Normalization of Marks In CUET-PG 2022
According to UGC chief Jagadesh Kumar, the PG examination was administered in a single sitting for the majority of courses, whereas the UG exam was administered in various phases and shifts. UGC Chairman also discussed with PTI why the CUET UG result is normalized and the PG result is not.
To give all candidates a level playing field, scores must be normalized.
The CUET PG 2022 exam, which is necessary for enrolment in a range of courses provided by the 66 Central and member universities, was administered by the NTA.
Around 66 schools, including central, state, and private universities, had opted for the CUET-PG exam for admissions. BHU (Banaras Hindu University) and JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) have received the most applications for admission to postgraduate programmes (PG) among all 66 universities.
