Uttaranchal University has joined the “A+” category by scoring the highest score in the assessment conducted by NAAC. With this A+ rating the UU Dehradun becomes the first private university in the Uttarakhand state to get accredited with A+ grade.
The inspection for NAAC assessment was conducted by a team of educationists and experts from 4 to 6 January, after meeting all the standards, the university was awarded with A+ category.
Uttaranchal University is a private university located in the capital city Dehradun of Uttarakhand state. The university was established in the year 2013. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the university with a grade of A+ in the year 2022.

Uttarakhand’s 1st University to get accredited with NAAC A+ Grade
Uttaranchal University (UU Dehradun) was one of the 30 institutes of Uttarakhand that had applied for the evaluation from NAAC. In the recently evaluated result, NAAC accredited Uttaranchal University with an A+ grade making it, the state’s first private university to get selected by NAAC and included in the A+ category.
Vice-Chancellor of the University Jitendra Joshi said that it is a matter of pride for Uttaranchal University that the University has got the highest marks in the assessment of NAAC. He said that this will also change the future of the students and they will also get better placements.
What is NAAC Rating?
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC). NAAC assesses and accredits higher education institutions (HEIs) in the country with its grading system. The eight grading ladder of NAAC includes:
