The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has given candidates the option to change their nationality from Indian to NRI for mop-up counseling. The candidates who want to change their nationality from Indian to NRI can do so until November 27, 2022.
To change nationality in the mop-up round, candidates must send a list of documents supporting their claim to the email address [email protected] also advised candidates not to send their emails before the deadline.The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will not entertain any requests after November 27, 2022.

How To Access The Official Notice By MCC
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to access the official notice released by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
- Visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
- On the home page, click the NEET UG 2022 option.
- A new webpage will open.
- Under the News & Events section, click on the link that reads “Notice for conversion of Indian to NRI candidates.”
- The official notice by MCC will appear on screen.
- The notice will appear in PDF format.
- Download the notice to view it in offline mode.
Documents required to change nationality from Indian to NRI
- Documents listed in Annexure-I, such as the sponsor’s passport and visa, attest to the sponsor’s status as an NRI.
- Relationship between the candidate and the NRI in accordance with Supreme Court directives
- A notarized affidavit from the sponsor guaranteeing they will cover the complete course fee for the candidate.
- The embassy certificate for the sponsor (consulate certificate).
- The tehsildar notarized the candidate’s family tree on the NEET scorecard.
