No merger of JEE Main, NEET UG with CUET : There is no immediate plan to merge the JEE Main , NEET UG exam with CUET. No such combined exam will be held at least in the next two years.
Last month, UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar made a statement that there are plans to merge the national-level engineering and medical entrances with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) from the next academic year.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Statement
After the statement of UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar, there was buzz that the NEET UG, JEE Main exams will be combined with CUET UG. But addressing all these reports Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave a statement that There is no immediate plan to merge the JEE Main , NEET UG exam with CUET. No such combined exam will be held at least in the next two years.
Pradhan said there is a school of thought on merging CUET UG, JEE Main and NEET UG but the government has not taken any decision regarding this. The Union Education Minister assured students that there is no need to worry and a merger will not happen next year.
Pradhan also gave assurance to students that the government will not impose any combined entrance Exam on Students who are in class 11th and 12th and will be appearing in the entrances over the next two years.
CUET Became the Second Biggest Entrance Exam
This year 14.9 lakh registrations were recorded for the CUET exam, now the second biggest entrance exam in the country. JEE-Mains exam records average registration of 9 lakh. NEET UG is still the biggest entrance of the country and this year 18 lakh students registered for the examination.
