Today, on October 22, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch “Rozgar Mela”. The recruitment drive will fill up to 10 lakh posts in various ministries and departments of the government of India.
As per PMO, this key step will boost the prime minister’s commitment to providing work opportunities to the youth. All ministers and departments are working towards filling the vacant seats independently or through different hiring organizations like the UPSC, SSC, and Railway Recruitment Board in order to accomplish Mr. Modi’s mission.
The prime minister will launch the rozgar mela today at 11:00 a.m. via video conference, where he will speak to newly appointed candidates. As per the sources, 75,000 individuals will get appointment letters during the ceremony. And, within 18 months, the Modi government will fill all the vacant posts under this campaign.
The government will fill the vacant positions at the following levels:
- Group A(Gazetted) – 23,583
- Group A(Non-Gazetted) -23,584
- Group B (Gazetted) -26,282
- Group A(Non-Gazetted) -92,525

New recruits across the nation will join 38 ministries/departments of GoI in various posts, which include Central Armed Force, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspectors, and MTS.
To speed up the section process, the government made it tech-enabled and simplified. In order to complete this mission, the government has canceled the weekly holidays of officers in numerous departments.
The Rozgar Mela is highlighted by the BJP due to the continuous attack of opposition parties regarding the lack of employment. By promoting the campaign at the national level, the BJP has demolished the claims of the opposition. Soon, elections will be held in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh . Hence, this recruitment drive will help the party to take the lead in the promotion campaigns at the time of the election.
