SR University was established in 2002 and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH). The university is one of the first private universities affiliated with the Telangana State Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2018. The SRU is ranked 91 by the NIRF for the engineering category in 2022. The institute has received an “A” grade from NAAC, and it is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

The SRU offers a total of 24 undergraduate courses, 11 postgraduate courses, and some PhD programmes which are divided into different schools, i.e., the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, the School of Engineering, the School of Agriculture, the School of Business, the School of Science, and the School of Design. All the courses have received approval from several regulatory organisations such as AICTE, NBA, and UGC.

Admission to SRU Warangal is based on the performance of candidates in the qualifying exam and the results of entrance exams. The highest package offered in 2022–23 was 29.36 LPA. The placement rate of SRU is 90%.

The SRU offers more than 30 courses at UG, PG, and PhD levels. Admission to the UG and PG programmes is determined by the rank achieved by the student in the state- or national-level tests like the TS EAMCET, JEE Main, etc. Direct admission is based on merits attained by a student in 10 + 2 exams.

Entrance Exam

A student can take a state- or national-level exam to be admitted to the SRU. The entrance exams for UG courses are TS EAMCET, AP ICET, and JEE Mains. The entrance exams for the PG course are TS PGECET and TS ICET.

Cut-off

The university releases the minimum marks and ranks that candidates must score in various entrance exams on its official website. In addition, a minimum of 50% in 12th grade for undergraduate courses is also required to become eligible for admission. Direct admission to all courses is also available on a merit basis.

SR University Ranking

The SRU is ranked 91 in engineering colleges by NIRF and 151 overall categories. It is also ranked first in ARIIA by MHRD. It has received an ‘A’ grade in NAAC accreditation. The B.Tech. programmes (CSE | ECE | EEE | ME | CE) have all received NBA Tier-I accreditation.

SR University Infrastructure

The SRU is located in Ananthasagar village of Hasanparthy Mandal near Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The campus of SRU is stretched across an area of 150 acres. SRU campus comprises departmental buildings, an auditorium, and a separate hostel for boys and girls. The University has a vast library with the largest technology business incubator (TBI).

How to Apply for SR University 2023?

SRU admits students to UG or PG courses based on any state- or national-level test; one such test is the TS EAMCET. Students must follow the steps given below to register for the TS EAMCET:

• Visit the official website of TSCHE: eamcet.tsche.ac.in.
• Click on the button “Pay Registration Fees.”
• Pay the category-wise registration fee via TS Online/AP Online/E Seva/MEE-Seva, debit card, or credit card.
• After the payment of the registration fee, a new page will open with the reference ID and a box with “fill online application” written on it. Write the reference ID for future use and click on “Fill online application.”
• Now fill in the following personal information: student’s name, parent’s name, date of birth, Aadhar card number, category of the candidate, income range of parents, bank details, address, qualifying exam details, 10th class detail, test centre, Upload your photo and signature.
• Click on the save button and then on the next button and review your application.
• Click on the modify button for any correction and finally click on the “submit” button.
• Download and print the application form for future use.

Candidates have to pay the fee based on their category. Candidates can submit their application fees via debit card, or credit card/TS Online/AP Online/E Seva/MEE-Seva. The application fees for various programs are listed below.

SR University Scholarship 2023

S.R. University provides scholarships to candidates in various categories. The scholarships are given on a merit basis, i.e., based on the marks or rank obtained by a student in 12th, JEE-Mains, or EAMCET. The scholarship is divided into different slabs of 70%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, and 15% based on the standard of marks or rank set.

SR University Placement

The placement for 2022–23 is still in progress at SR University. Till now, more than 150 recruiters have visited the campus and a total of 823 offers have been made.
