Shamshera continues to struggle at the box office on its third day also, the film was opened with negative reviews from the critics and the audiences alike. It starred Ranbir Kapoor, it is his comeback film on the big screens as the actor was arriving after 4yrs long hiatus.
Shamshera was expected to end the dry spell at the box office but its opening figures show its dismal future at the box office. The huge release film has fallen flat at the BO in its opening weekend itself.
It is directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films, along with Ranbir it has Vaani Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Ashutosh Rana, Saurabh Shula, and Ronit Roy in the pivotal roles.

Box Office Collection (1st Weekend)
Shamshera was opened to below-par performance at the box office and earned only Rs 10.25 Cr on day 1. The film performed lower than Prithviraj in all circuits. It was released in Tamil and Telugu also, the TFI industry is struggling to deliver a hit film at the box office, itself amid this to mint money from there would be a tough task. The collections of Shamshera too were minimal there.
The film witnesses a slow upward trend over the weekend, showing only 2.44% growth on the 2nd day, it earns Rs 10.50 Cr on Saturday (day 2). Now as per the occupancy reports of Day 3, Ranbir led saw a flat trend on Sunday too, it showed a slight growth during the morning, afternoon, and evening shows. While witnessed a downfall in the occupancy during the night shows. It had an overall 16.66% occupancy on Sun (Day 3).
As per the trade estimates, Shamshera collects Rs 11 Cr on day 3 to take the total collections of the film to Rs 31.75 Cr, domestically.

The production house went all out for this film and released it on more than 4300 screens across the country making it the highest release Bollywood film post-pandemic.
YRF banner had high hopes from Ranbir starrer to break its box office drought, as the banner itself failed to deliver any successful film since Mardani 2 (2019). Now the production will be eying its upcoming biggies Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Salman’s Tiger 3 to revive.
