Mollywood megastar Mohanlal will soon be seen in his upcoming Malayalam mystery thriller film 12th Man. It is directed by Jeethu Joseph and written by K.R. Krishna Kumar while it is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under his Aashirvad Cinemas.
This most awaited mystery thriller marks the collaboration of actor-director-producer trio after their 2021 crime drama thriller Drishyam 2, a sequel to their 2013 film Drishyam. Sunithy Antony is serving as the executive producer.
If we talk about technical work, Satheesh Kurup is working as the director of photography and V.S. Vinayak is handling the editing work, the film’s soundtrack and score are composed by Anil Johnson.
12th Man Star Cast
- The film features Mohanlal in the lead role, the actor has a bigger contribution in Malayalam cinema. In his career of more than 40 years the actor has worked in more than 400 movies including Bollywood, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada along with Malayalam movies. - Unni Mukundan will share the screen with Mohanlal after Bro Daddy, featuring the veteran star along with Prithviraj Sukumarna. Unni appeared in Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja starrer Khiladi, which was released on Feb 11, 2022.

About the Film
The film comes up with tagline”Unveiling the Shadows” and it is based on twelve strangers who come across different ways of life come together as the result of an invitation letter sent by an unnamed host. So basically, the story deals with the mystery that take place in the lives of these individuals.
12th Man Release Date
Fans of superstar Mohanlal are eagerly waiting for the release date of the best thriller combo of all time in Malayalam cinema. Also, the expectations from this movie are very high. The makers of the movie have given hints about the release date of the movie.
However, they haven’t revealed the exact release date. It is confirmed that the film will skip theater release and will be released through a directed to OTT streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. A poster featuring Mohanlal along with the rest of the crew was released to announce the streaming platform on Friday, April 22, 2022. Now another poster confirms that the series will be released on 20th of May.

Earlier, the film was slated to be released in February 2022 but due to the delay in post production work, the makers had to postponed the release date. It is more likely to stream on the platform in April last. We will update the information as soon as the team gives new updates.

The Trailer of the film arrives on 3rd of May 2022, the 2 min 27-sec trailer starts with the aerial shot of a celebration ceremony, the mystery thriller later also gave a hint of the dark world of jovial looking fat rich people, it depicts that everyone has three lives, a public life, a private life, and a secret life, the teaser ends with Mohanlal saying its time…..final mystery.
