Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan aka Aamir Khan belongs to a family whose contribution to the Hindi film industry is immensely worth it. His father Tahir Hussain was a film producer, produced so many hits like Caravan (1971), Anamika (1973), Madhosh (1974), Tum Mere Ho (1990), and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993).
His uncle Nasir Hussain and cousin Mansoor Khan were also top film producers and directors. So, movies and acting are in the blood of Aamir and he used to fond of this profession since his childhood.
Aamir’s first appearance on the silver screen as a child artist was way back in 1973 when he was seen in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s film Yaadon Ki Baaraat. Although, his first feature film was Ketan Mehta’s Holi (1984) officially his Bollywood journey started off with Mansoor Khan’s romantic drama Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988).
The film went on to become a big hit and the film industry got its chocolate boy as Aamir Khan. After this, Aamir’s image of a lover boy was seen in his next films like Dil (1990) and Akele Hum Akele Tum (1993). He received his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance in Raja Hindustani (1996).
Aamir Khan is a versatile actor and did each and every genre like in Baazi (1995) and Sarfarosh (1999). He also tried his hand at comedy with Ishq (1997) and the audience again accepted his comic timing.
In the year 2001, Aamir started his own production company, and his first film as a producer was Lagaan, which is called as one of the best Hindi films of 100 years of Hindi film industry. The film got nominated for Best Foreign Language Film in Oscars and became 1st Hindi film to select in the Top 5 films.
Post-2000, Aamir changed his strategy and focused on perfection. he has decided to do one film at a time so that he could give his best to that film. The result was according to what he desired.
