Sony Pictures Film India will soon be back with its upcoming production venture, Aankh MIcholi, a family comedy-drama that will be a mass entertainer.
Bollywood’s veteran actor, comedian politician Paresh Rawal, who has an excellent career of nearly four decades will be featured in the pivotal role in the film.
The multiple award-winning actors made us all laugh with his great sense of humor and comedy timing and excellent dialogue delivery.
His comedy roles include Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama, Hulchal, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Chup Chup Ke, De Dana Dan, etc.
He was last seen in Hera Pheri fame director Priyadarshan’s comedy-drama Hungama 2, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s sports drama Toofan and Abhishek Jain’s Hum Do Humare Do.
The film will depict the story of a family of misfits trying to hide some secrets from an NRI suitor and his family as they want their daughter to get married to that well-to-do NRI guy.
Aankh Micholi Release Date
The makers of this comedy-drama announced the release date of November 22, 2021, the entire cast and crew shared the date with its poster, featuring all of them.
The film will hit the big screen on May 13, 2022, and will take you on a roller coaster ride of absolute drama and comedy.
Earlier, the announcement of the film was made in the mid-2021 through a motion poster that features a tagline The Most ‘EYE’conic Wedding of the Year. It was shared with the caption Yeh Cheating Nahi, Setting Hai.

Aankh Micholi Star Cast
The film features actress Mrunal Thakur (as Nidhi Gupta) who will be sharing the stage with actor Paresh Rawal (as Rameshwar Shergill) after the 2021 sports drama film Toofan, which starred Farhan Akhtar in the lead role.
Apart from Toofan, she will be seen in another sports drama Jersey opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film was supposed to be released last year but later was finalized for April 12, 2022.

The film is helmed by Umesh Shukla who is collaborating the second time with actor Paresh Rawal after his 2021 critically acclaimed satirical comedy-drama Oh My God.
Sony Pictures Films India (SPFI) which has more than 17 movies slated for release this year such as comedy Tera Kya Hoga Lovely, underwater thriller Dive, thriller Loop Lapeta (released), have bankrolled this film.
Along with the production house, director Umesh Shukla and Ashiksh Wagh’s Merry Go Round Studios also wear the hat of producers.
