Aaraattu or Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu commenced Principal Photography in Nov 2020 and it concluded in March 2021. It is helmed by B. Unnikrishnan, the film marks the fifth collab between Mohanlal and Unnikrishnan.
Synopsis
The storyline of Aaraattu revolves around a village called Chittur (Palakkad, Kerala), in which a real estate tycoon Goparajan (Portrayed by Mohanlal) bought the land for construction purposes. Further, he finds out that the natives of the village are forcefully being evicted from their properties by the antagonist with the help of corrupt bureaucrats and leaders. Later the protagonist took on with them.
Aaraattu Release Date, OTT & TV Premiere
The trailer of the film had to launch in the first week of Jan as the film’s release date was confirmed on 10 Feb 2022. But owing to the covid-19 pandemic it couldn’t have been possible.
Mohanlal’s action drama was released on 18 Feb 2022, and went to ott platform Amazon Prime after just a month of its theatrical release. Now all set for the World Television Premiere after two months, watch it on Colors Cineplex on 17th April, Sunday, 12:00 PM:

It is directed by B. Unnikrishnan and written by Uday Krishna marking their first collab, the film is backed by Sajeesh Manjery and Rd Illuminations under the banner of RD Illuminations, Hippo Prime Motion Pictures, and Movie Pay Media’s.
On the technical front, Vijay Ulaganath has cranked the camera and the editing is done by Shameer Muhammad. Rahul Raj composed the music, Grammy winner A.R. Rahman is also said to be part of one of the songs. lyrics penned by B.K. Harinarayanan, Rajeev Govindan, Fejo, and Nikesh.
