The much anticipated and long-awaited Tollywood action drama Acharya finally hit the screens on Friday, scroll down and read on to know the screen counts, reviews, bookings, and the opening day box office collection.
Acharya is directed by Koratala Siva and it stars the superhit names of Telugu cinema like Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, Pooja Hegde, Jisshu Sengupta, Vennela Kishore. Reportedly actor Sonu Sood is playing a negative role in the action flick.
Reviews
The film received mixed to negative reviews from the critics, they bashed the screenplay, narration, vfx, poor background music, and the characterization of the cast and praised the songs, especially the Banjara song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Rahul and the performance of Ram charan.
The first half of the film is said to be boring and dull while the second half is being called the decent, Regina Cassandra’s item number, the climax, and the performance of Ram Charan are said to be the soul of the film. Critics severely panned the direction of Koratala Shiva some even went on to say that Acharya is his worst film ever.

However, talking about the box office, the action flick has been released around over 1150 theatres in the home market, with most Nizam and Ceeded area 600+ theatres, Andhra it is released in over 500 theatres, and overseas 650+ theatres taking the total theatre counts to over 2000, in rest of India the film is being released in 200+ theatres.
